Call for Programs
The Center for the First-Year Experience (CFYE) invites you to submit program announcements for the fall 2008 Wisconsin Welcome Online Schedule. Any student organization or campus unit may submit information about a meeting, program or orientation related event to be posted on the website. Fall Wisconsin Welcome activities are scheduled and coordinated through the CFYE office.
Wisconsin Welcome supports the educational mission of the University of Wisconsin–Madison by providing holistic programs and services to assist new undergraduate students in their transition to the university experience.
The purpose of Wisconsin Welcome is to:
- Expose new students to opportunities of the institution
- Integrate new students into the academic and co-curricular life of the institution
- Familiarize students with the campus environment and physical facilities
- Help students develop personal connections and relationships with their peers
- Serve as a clearinghouse for activities during the first four weeks on campus
The goal of Wisconsin Welcome is creating an atmosphere that minimizes anxiety and welcomes new students to the UW–Madison campus community.
Wisconsin Welcome dates are Friday, August 29, 2008 through Sunday, September 28, 2008.
