Off to a great start!

There’s something for everyone during Wisconsin Welcome! You’ll have a great time meeting new friends and beginning to find your place in the UW–Madison community. It’s a chance to find answers to your questions, learn about academics, find your way around campus, learn about Wisconsin history and culture, and discover all that the university has to offer.

Fall Wisconsin Welcome begins the day you move into your university or private residence hall. Residence hall events begin on your floor, starting on your assigned move-in day. The large campuswide events begin once all new students have moved in. If you do not live in the residence halls you will be invited to attend additional events designed especially for commuting students. If you live in university or private residence halls you will find the Wisconsin Welcome brochure in your hall on move-in day, listing all of the events that will make you feel part of the excitement that is UW–Madison.
