SOAR reservation process:
What to expect
Optional SOAR components
The remainder of the reservation process involves choosing optional components of the SOAR program. Options vary based on the SOAR date selected.
SOAR Parents/Guest Program
There is a separate SOAR program for parents/guests. We encourage you to bring up to two parents or adult guests to the SOAR Parent/Guest Program. By learning about UW–Madison at SOAR, parents will be prepared to support you through your first year. Parents and guests will learn about UW–Madison academics and campus life, explore high school to college transition, take a campus tour, and meet other parents/guests. Read more information about the SOAR Parent/Guest program.
Note: This program is designed for adults. Younger children are discouraged from attending.
SOAR overnight housing
Overnight accommodations are available in Elizabeth Waters Hall for all SOAR participants. Elizabeth Waters Hall is located near the shore of Lake Mendota and is within walking distance of the SOAR Program buildings. Staying in SOAR housing is a great way to sample life in the University Residence Halls.
Availability: Residence Hall accommodations will be available Friday, June 6 - Friday August 1, 2008. Although one-night stays are most common, extended stays to accommodate travel plans are available.
